Mária received her Master of Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) after four years of rigorous training. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Vermont and is nationally board-certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Mária has worked in diverse healthcare settings such as outpatient pain clinics, rehabilitation facilities, veterans’ homes, and community acupuncture clinics. Mária has also pursued postgraduate training in pain management, women’s health & fertility, and trauma-informed healthcare. She is skilled at providing simple somatic and mindfulness practices to help her patients face daily stresses with more calm and confidence. The depth and breadth of her training have allowed her to confidently and collaboratively work alongside other providers to help patients meet their health goals.
Mária’s superpower is her curiosity. She will listen to you and how your body is feeling. Her training and life experience have taught her there is always a good reason for every symptom, emotion, reaction, and need. Sharing your story is an important part of healing.
Having been introduced to acupuncture as a young child, Mária is passionate about providing care for all ages. She loves to help babies, children, and teens heal from symptoms associated with asthma, allergies, eczema, digestive challenges, constipation, low immunity, ADHD, autism, neurodivergence, anxiety, and depression. She has studied gentle Japanese non-insertive styles (needless) that are great for children (and adults) who are nervous about acupuncture. As a certified parenting coach and mother, she knows the stresses families face when caring for a child who has health challenges. Her treatments are gentle, fun, informative, and thorough.
